About the Attorney Claudia Hernández Gómez Supervising Attorney
Claudia Hernández Gómez is an immigration attorney and the head of the firm’s Florida simplified divorce practice. She is committed to thoughtful advocacy, careful legal analysis, and ensuring that each client’s story is clearly and accurately presented.
Her work is guided by the belief that effective legal representation requires both technical precision and a genuine understanding of what is at stake for each client.
Her Approach
Claudia’s legal work is shaped by a strong foundation in philosophy and years of hands-on experience representing individuals facing complex immigration matters. She earned her Associate in Arts in Philosophy summa cum laude from Miami Dade College and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Florida International University, where her studies emphasized ethics, critical reasoning, and justice.
That background continues to influence her practice today. Claudia approaches each case with careful analysis and attention to detail, while remaining mindful of the personal circumstances and long-term consequences involved.
In addition to her immigration practice, Claudia leads the firm’s Florida simplified divorce services, overseeing an attorney-guided process designed to avoid unnecessary delays, confusion, and court appearances. Whether handling immigration or divorce matters, her work is grounded in clarity, efficiency, and proper legal review at every stage.
Legal Experience & Background
Claudia graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University, Benjamin L. Crump College of Law in 2022. During law school, she gained valuable experience serving underserved communities through her involvement with the Elder Law Society and the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, where she assisted low-income individuals with legal and tax-related matters.
A defining part of her legal training came from her work in the Immigration Clinic under the mentorship of Professor Michael Vastine. Through this experience, Claudia developed practical skills in asylum defense, VAWA self-petitions, and immigration matters involving criminal or complex legal histories. The clinic reinforced the importance of ethical practice, diligence, and strategic preparation in immigration law.
