About the Attorney Abraham B. Cárdenas Founder & Managing Attorney
Abraham B. Cárdenas is the founder and managing attorney of Cardenas Law Firm, LLC. With more than three decades of legal experience, he has represented individuals and families in a wide range of complex legal matters, including immigration and Pennsylvania family law, building his career on thoughtful analysis, strategic advocacy, and steady long-term counsel.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Abraham has worked closely with diverse communities throughout his career and brings a practical, measured perspective to every case he handles.
His Approach
Abraham’s legal practice has evolved alongside the needs of the clients he serves. What began as a solo practice in Pennsylvania has grown into a multi-attorney firm focused on providing structured, clear legal guidance in both immigration and family-related matters.
He approaches each case with careful preparation, risk assessment, and a focus on long-term outcomes. Abraham believes effective representation requires more than legal knowledge — it requires anticipating challenges, explaining options clearly, and helping clients make informed decisions at every stage.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, he works closely with clients to ensure they understand not only the process, but the implications of each legal step.
Legal Experience & Background
Abraham earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania. His legal career has included work across multiple courts and jurisdictions, reflecting a broad foundation in both state and federal legal systems.
Over the course of his career, Abraham has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the York County Court of Common Pleas, multiple United States District Courts in Pennsylvania, and the United States Courts of Appeals, including the Third and Eleventh Circuits. This experience has contributed to his deep understanding of procedural strategy, appellate practice, and complex legal matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Abraham has served as an instructor at Penn State University (York Campus) and Kaplan University, where he taught courses related to civil litigation, credit rights and debts, and commercial law. His academic background reflects a strong command of legal principles and a long-standing commitment to educating others — values that continue to inform his work with clients today.
